"Furries"

I started this blog as a tribute to my work with vet tech students and animals. It wasn't until recent that I found out what "Furries" are. So sorry to disappoint those who were hoping for a different kind of blog. That's just me on Halloween. 

This last term I learned what a furry was when a student of mine attended a very furry conference. Because this is not what my blog is about, I'll let you google that gem on your own. Anyways, here's to a furry new year! 

Bath time for the rats

So I know this is my first post on this particular blog. I just downloaded the Blogger app so that I can start sending photos and videos from my phone. A lot of my students have been busy making videos for their final projects and I'm excited to post those. This is one of the rats from the Lab Animal and Exotics class I am teaching right now. These guys are really cute. I'm usually not a rat person, but maybe today I am.
